Paris, 2008

After a long day of traveling and two cancelled flights due to mechanical problems, we finally arrived in Paris. But, we were soon re-energized when we walked into Grandma Denise's flat and saw little Ms. Cléa bathing in the sink in front of the kitchen window that overlooks Rue de Rivoli, a bustling street 5 stories below us. Lisa was shampooing Cléas hair while Cléa was cusiously checking out the two new and quite boisterous guests. Remi was cooking beets in the pressure cooker, wondering how Cléa would like this first time morsel.

We began our celebration of Norm and Lisa's birthday (both born on July 9) with appetizers and champagne prepared by Denise, while Cléa gobbled down the beets. She loved them. At around 9 PM, we walked to a restaurant on Ile Saint Louis, only 15 minutes from Denise' flat.
