Gacogne Blog by Gail and Denise

On the way to Gacogne, we stopped in the Beaujolais countryside and visited two wineries to stock up on wine for our visit to Denise in her country home.

Denise welcomes us to her cottage in Gacogne with red wine and a fire in her fireplace.














For breakfast, we indulge in Denise's homemade marmalade... blackberry and ginger. Denise looks great in her horizontal stripes

There is no post office in Gacogne but of course, there is daily bread delivery. Denise is buying croissant and bread for tomorrow's breakfast.














Granmere Nizou has prepared the old crib for her new granddaughter when she comes to Gacogne. She chose a cute fabric for the inside of the crib and is ready to sing her granddaughter to sleep.












The snails came in from the garden to get out of the rain.
The doudou is ready and waiting in Paris (information for the baby’s parents)












Certes... Iabientot 34 ans comme Remi.... Nais c'estlage du sentiment. This outfit is 34 years old... one of Remi's first outfits... sentimental.... Don't be afraid Lisa: new clothes will arrive!
















Denise and Gail are ready to go to lunch. Denise is wearing the Dalai Lama shawl… The colors are inspired by Ives St. Laurent.

In the new museum, Zervos, in Vezelay in the beautiful house of the writer, Romain Rolland, Denise relaxes after her most famous and delicious meal at L’Esperance.
