Greetings from Lyon, France

Views of the city of Lyon

Just like Google- you can use one of these bicycles in one part of the city and drop it off in another.

While Norm is checking out directions to our next destination, this is what Gail is doing... drinking wine and eating a nutella crepe.

Check out the wine bottle.

Traboule- Staircases and courtyards in covered passageways connecting two apartment buildings.

Whew... what a day of shopping at all of the shoe sales, it's time for dinner!

Lyon is know for delicious food. Last night we indulged in a typical Lyonaise meal. We started at 7 PM and ended our meal at 10:30 PM. Check out our menu:

Toast with herb blue cheese spread and fried pork rinds.

Snails in a garlic butter parsley sauce and snails in a tomato creme anise sauce...

Breaded and fried pig's feet and tartar sauce and Lyonaise salad

Need a little pepper?

Onion soup

Chicken liver terrine in tomato sauce

Pike fish souffle in crayfish sauce

Garlic and parsley potatoes

Leek gratin

Fresh cheese with garlic and herbs

Assorted sorbets

The cheese stores put the Cheeseboard to shame!

And... the candy stores...

And... the last photo for all you foodies out there: Deli food for those quick meals...

After all this food, how can we possible fit into the SMART car!

Good night from Lyon... the city of lights

Gail - the food looks great!

Photos are fantastic!

One thing, though - you should contact Google tech support and ask for help getting the photo captions to line up properly with the photos. I hear they are pretty good at providing user support (;-).
